Ladies Day;

Thursday from 9.00 am to 10.30 am: group coaching session held every Thursday morning with resident coach, Robin Byrne.

Members only: Free

Saturday Morning Junior Coaching;

Group coaching session are run on Saturday mornings during school terms 1 and 4. Juniors are allocated set times according to age and ability.

Members only: Free

Junior Squads;

For those juniors looking for more intense coaching. Squad coaching is available throughout school terms 1 and 4. Juniors are placed in smaller groups, depending on ability, where specific skills and techniques are the focus.

Term cost: $95.00 members, $125.00 non member

Junior Holiday Programmes;

Holiday programmes are conducted every school holidays. Discounts are available to members.

Coach Profile

ROBIN BYRNE - GLADSTONE TENNIS CLUB’S PROFESSIONAL COACH

Introducing Robin Byrne, our very own professional coach at the Gladstone Tennis Club in Parnell, Auckland. Robin has been a committed tennis player since he first picked up a racquet in England, aged 10. Since then he has played extensively in the United Kingdom, Australia and more recently in new Zealand where he lives with his kiwi wife Sonia, two young boys and an 18 month old daughter.

Since September 2002, Robin has been Head Coach at the Gladstone Tennis Club. Here he has helped build up a growing number of members and assisted in developing the club’s reputation as a community-based user friendly facility. He has recruited and trained some of the young adult members as assistant coaches, as well as developing coaching programmes for junior and midweek senior players.

Robin has also coached seven junior members to progress to the Auckland Tennis Junior Development Squads.

Robin is committed to developing the Gladstone Tennis Club and is improving the standard of tennis of all members.
