Martin Colenbrander and Adam Staub are the Gladstone Tennis Club professional coaches

Martin ColenbraNder

Martin has been NZ National Champion in both Singles and Doubles 14/U (2002) and 16/U (2004) and a doubles Champion 18/U (2004) and has competed in Junior Grand Slam events. He has played club tennis for teams in Amsterdam, Stuttgart, Hamburg and Melbourne as well in professional tournaments all over the world. He currently plays Caro Bowl and Chelsea Cup.

Martin has coached at ASB Tennis Centre and Gladstone for several years now, has experience in coaching Easi-Tennis and Tennis Fit and has done private coaching with an emphasis on keeping fit, healthy and having fun. Martin has provided support and training practice for Venus Williams, Caroline Wozniacki and many other touring professionals.

ADAM STAUB

Adam has played tennis since he was 6 years old. Throughout his junior years he competed in New Zealand and Australia and then went on to play Club Tennis in Germany for three consecutive seasons (2004-2007) where he also played money tournaments and began his coaching career.

Adam then went on to play and coach throughout Australia and has since his return been a coach at St Heliers Tennis Club and part of the Auckland Junior Coaching team as well as a Tennis Auckland Performance Programme Coach. Adam is currently playing both Caro Bowl and Chelsea Cup.
