WELCOME NEW MEMBERS!


Thank you to everyone for your prompt renewals for the 2022/23 season, and a special WELCOME to all our new Members. We are delighted to have you all on board with us for the season ahead.


As Spring brings more sunshine and the promise of more time on court, we have plenty of things to look forward to next month.



Kids Holiday Programme


This school holidays Martin will be running his popular holiday programme each day from Monday 3 October to Friday 7 October, 9am - 12pm. Sharpen their tennis skills and burn off some energy for $40 per day or $180 for the week.


All ages and abilities are welcome, but space is limited so sign up asap by emailing martin@gladstonetennis.co.nz with your child's name, age and the days attending.

Junior Coaching


Term 4 is just around the corner which means a host of activities getting underway for our Junior Members. 


Saturday Coaching (FREE)

  • Free Saturday coaching for junior members starts Saturday 22 October

  • 9-10am* (Beginners)


    10-11am (Progressives)


*Our 9am lesson is predominantly reserved for beginners (age not important) so if your child has a few skills under their belt they may be more suited to the 10am class. Check with Martin to be sure!Term 4 After-School Coaching (ADDITIONAL FEES APPLY)


  • Monday & Wednesday after-school coaching will resume Monday 17 October.


     

  • Mondays:


    Beginners: 4:00pm-5:00pm (6-9yrs)


    Intermediate: 5:00pm-6:00pm (10+ yrs)


     

  • Wednesdays:


    Red Ball: 3:30pm (4-5yrs)


    Beginners: 4-5pm (6-9yrs)


    Intermediate: 5-6pm (10+ yrs)

Friday Pizza Night


Pizza Nights are back! Every Friday through the Summer school terms, kids can come and play tennis and eat pizza for $15pp from 5pm-7pm.  Parents are welcome too! See you there for our first one Friday 21 October.

What better way to spend a Spring Saturday than to come down to support our Senior Interclub teams - BAR IS OPEN!

Junior Interclub


Entries close 2 Oct; play begins 29 OctoberJunior Interclub is a fun way to ease into competition, with draws available for all ages (up to 18yrs) and abilities. Players need only to be able to serve and maintain a rally. Email admin@gladstonetennis.co.nz if you're interested to register or learn more.



'Aces & Aperols' Club Night


Our super-charged Club Nights are set to continue on the first Wednesday of every month, however with the next one falling in the middle of school holidays we will postpone our next Aces & Aperols until the first week in November.  We will send a reminder closer the time but put Wednesday 2 November in the diary for a big night of mixed doubles, music, and some well-earned refreshments. 



Court Maintenance


You may have noticed that Court 5 is undergoing some essential repairs so is unfortunately out of action for the rest of this week (to Friday 23 Sept). We apologise for the inconvenience but hope to have it all fixed for the weekend.
