WELCOME WILL!
Will Ellett will already be a familiar face to many of you but we are delighted to now welcome him as a permanent assistant coach at Gladstone.
Will started playing at Gladstone in 2014 and helping out with coaching since 2018 when he was also GTC's Mens Doubles Club Champ with Sam Hodges.
Will is currently undertaking his professional tennis certification.
SENIOR MEMBERS
Tennisfit (Friday Mens & Thursday Ladies) is back busier than ever! And this Wednesday's forecast makes Mixed Drills (from 6pm) the perfect evening on court.
Please make sure you let Martin know if you are coming to these sessions so he can make sure there are enough coaches on court with you. If you would like to be included in Martin's regular What's App groups for each session, please drop him a message on 022 185 8816.
JUNIOR MEMBERS
Last Friday's Pizza Night was a HIT with lots of kids on court and lots of parents enjoying the view and the refreshments!
Pizza Night is on every Friday this term (weather permitting) from 5pm for junior members, with tennis and pizza for $15pp. Come on down!
Free Saturday morning coaching is also well underway - no need to book just come on down:
9-10am: Introduction to tennis for first time players or those with less than one year of experience (4+ years old). The programme includes a mixture of ball and athletic skills.
10-11am: Intermediate level for more experienced tennis players. The programme will focus on rallying, tactics and match play. For those interested in, or already playing, Interclub, these sessions will also prepare players for competition level
Programme dates: Term 1 last session will be Saturday April 1st.
KIDS TEES
Our stocks of Club t-shirts for our junior members are VERY LOW, but we have a few tops left in sizes 10, 12 and 14. They are $15 per t-shirt, get in quick by emailing admin@gladstonetennis.co.nz.
'PLAYER OF THE DAY' TROPHIES
If your child has been lucky enough to have taken home a Player of the Day trophy PLEASE can these be returned to the office ASAP as these should be returned weekly.
